MK MapMaker
(latest version: v. 0.6)
(c) John G Keating and John Evans, 2002

~ Marburg ~

Marburg (aka John Keating) was manufactured in 1965 based on an original (some would say bad) idea by Mary and John Keating.

The complete Marburg requires a number of plug-ins including a canine element (Lady, the big black dog), and three feline elements (Freddie, Finn and Pixie). The current version of John (v.37, 2002) also features an enhancement named Linda who is implementing an improved version of John, compatible with all versions of Linda. This version is available for private, home-use only.

Marburg features a number of abilities including lecturing in Computer Science, cooking imaginative meals, and programming in Perl. Documented faults include automatic shutdown at 10:00pm (GMT) and inaccurate processing of time-space differentials.

Marburg's visual cortex may be stimulated by exposure to high-quality cartoons (especially King of the Hill, South Park, The Simpsons, Johnny Bravo and Dexter's Laboratory) and television programmes (expecially Coronation Street, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Star Trek episodes featuring Borg drones).
